Hair Growth, Minimalism and Veganism: My Thoughts

I cut my hair to collarbone length on February 17, 2017. One year later, I’ve learned that many of the hair growth gimmicks on the market don’t actually help much. My hair is now bra strap length. I didn’t do much to boost its growth. Still, focusing on hair health has been the key to maintaining consistent growth.

What I Tried for Hair Growth: Gummies and Oils

The only supplement I took during the year was hair growth gummies, but I still haven’t finished them. I often forget to take them, and I have a few servings left. I also tried liquid biotin and wild growth hair oil. Yet, once these products are used up, I don’t plan to invest any more money in hair growth products.

Marketing Tactics and Social Media Influence

Social media marketing plays a huge role in convincing us to buy products. It suggests videos and posts based on your search history, keeping you interested in new products. I’ve found myself making many purchases based on these recommendations.

Personal Changes: Veganism, Minimalism, and More

I went natural during college after some bad experiences with stylists. I also transitioned to veganism after attending a seminar about it after my uncle’s passing. Since moving out of my parents’ house, I’ve adopted a minimalist lifestyle, which has been great for budgeting and saving.

Focusing on What’s Right for Me

The most significant change in my life has been learning to make decisions that align with my future goals. I focus on my own path rather than on what others think I should do. We must focus on decisions that help our mental health and future success.

Women Empowerment and Societal Judgments

While we fight for women’s empowerment, we also need to tackle the judgment women often place on each other. There’s growing criticism from older generations about millennials. Many of us are influenced by worrisome information. Often, we accept this information without knowing the facts.

Disconnecting from Media and Finding Balance

We live in a media-driven society. It’s crucial to disconnect from distractions like our smartphones and invest time in meaningful activities. We spend less time outdoors and less time with people face to face, which can negatively impact our well-being. Learning to disconnect and focus on real-life goals is important.

Next Steps: A Shift in Focus

Now, I want to steer my conversations in a different direction. If you want to know more about the topic I just mentioned, watch this great video from CBC News. It’s about “Why You’re Addicted to Your Smartphone.”
