Helping women embrace their curls, confidence, and growth.

About Me

Hi, I’m Ana, a writer, digital creator, and the voice behind Curly Mama Chronicles. I started this space not just to share my routines, but to educate and empower anyone who wants to embrace their curls.
As the daughter of a hairstylist, I grew up surrounded by conversations about what’s “acceptable” when it comes to hair. And as a girl raised in the Dominican Republic, I saw firsthand how straight hair was celebrated as the standard of beauty while curls were dismissed. I never permed my hair, but I knew what it felt like to stand outside that norm.
The truth? Since I was five years old, I’ve loved my curls. I chose them. And today, I believe the real beauty of curly hair is its versatility you can enjoy your natural curls or straighten them when you want, without losing your identity. That’s what freedom looks like.
Through Curly Mama Chronicles, I share not only content about curly hair but also insights into motherhood, lifestyle, and everyday hacks that help women live more confidently. My background in media studies and content strategy, paired with over 10 years of professional experience, allows me to bring both structure and creativity to everything I create from detailed hair guides to family-friendly resources.
If you’re here as a reader, I hope my work makes you feel confident, inspired, and supported in your own journey. If you’re a brand or organization looking to collaborate, or if you’d like to see examples of my past projects, let’s connect below.

The Inspiration Behind Curly Mama Chronicles

This space blends my personal love of anime-style art with my Caribbean roots and curly hair journey. Every piece of content reflects that mix of culture, creativity, and authenticity.
